Scheduling with us can be quick and easy if you follow these simple steps:

  • Make sure we participate with your insurance by going to the Policies/Billing area of the homepage and checking the list of accepted insurances we have provided for you.

  • Call our office at (616) 774-0700 between 8:30am and 4:45pm. When prompted, select option 2. This will take your call directly to the appointment desk where one of our wonderful schedulers will be more than happy to assist you!

  • Please note that if you need to schedule surgery or an outpatient procedure you will need to speak to your doctor’s nurse. When you call, press 0 to speak to the operator and let her know that you need to schedule a surgery and would like to be transferred to Dr. ________’s nurse.

  • Let the scheduler know what type of appointment you need to schedule. Please understand that our schedulers will try to accommodate you as much as possible. We ask you to remember that our schedulers have no control over the provider's schedules, the hours they work, or the time/ days they are away from the office, whether it be vacation, surgery, or delivery. If your appointment is time-sensitive and your provider is out of the office, or has no available appointment times, your provider's nurse will look at the schedule and find a time for you to come in. This may not happen while you are on the phone; we may have to return your call. We thank you for your understanding and patience in this matter.

  • If you are a new patient to our office, new patient information will be mailed out to you the day you schedule your appointment. This will include a letter welcoming you to our office with your appointment listed at the top, general patient information sheet, a health history sheet, directions to our office, and our cancellation policy, which is: PATIENTS WHO DO NOT SHOW FOR A SCHEDULED APPPOINTMENT, OR WHO CANCEL WITH LESS THAN 24 NOTICE, MAY BE SUBJECT TO A $20 FEE. IF YOU FEEL THAT THERE MAY BE A PROBLEM KEEPING YOUR APPOINTMENT, PLEASE CALL THE OFFICE AT (616) 774-0700. If you do not receive your new patient packet within one week of mailing, please contact our office and we will mail it a second time. Bringing in the forms filled out will save you and us time. If there is not time to attempt a second mailing, we ask that you arrive 15-20 minutes before your appointment is scheduled to begin so that you may fill out the paperwork. Please remember that we need about 5 minutes to prepare your neew chart as well.

  • If you are an established patient, please arrive 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time so that we may verify your information and put your chart up so the nurse can prepare for your appointment. IF YOU ARRIVE MORE THAN 15 MINUTES AFTER YOUR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TIME YOU MAY HAVE TO RESCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT. The receptionist who checks you in will ask your provider's nurse if he/she still has time to see you. If not, you must reschedule. We ask that you are understanding of this policy, as it will potentially cause your provider to run further and further behind for the remainder of the day.

  • If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office at (616) 774-0700 between 8:30am and 4:45 pm. Thank you!
