![]() WHAT IS RENESSA?This is a non-surgical treatment for stress urinary incontinence. A small probe is inserted into the urethra with a small balloon on the end. The balloon is inflated and is used to keep the probe stabilized during the procedure. Radiofrequency energy is used to generate low heat that is applied to tissue through four small needles in the lower urinary tract, creating collagen in small areas in the tissue. Your doctor does not need to see the injections, meaning no cameras need to be inserted, no incisions need to be made. The radiofrequency is administered for sixty seconds, then the probe is repositioned a total of nine times, repeating the dispersion of the radiofrequency each time, for a total of thirty-six injections. When healed, the tissue is firmer, making urinary leakage occur less during daily activities. It can also be used to treat Menorrhagia. Renessa is an in-office, non-surgical procedure, with no incisions, is extremely safe, and has a rapid recovery time, and is a single treatment procedure. |
