Notification Of Scan Results

At the completion of the sonogram, the interpreting physician will view the images and create a formal report. The ordering physician will be given the report, review the results, and notify you in a timely fashion, typically within one week. Please note that communication between you and your physician may be interrupted due to deliveries, surgeries, and time away from the office.

Although a sonographer does play a critical role in gathering the information, the final diagnosis, represents the practice of medicine and is the responsibility of the physician.
